Nativity Silhouettes

In Room 6 we have been making Silhouettes about the Birth of Jesus.
What I enjoyed doing was making the Silhouettes and painting the background.
Next time maybe I could finish faster.

And this is the testimony : God has given us eternal life, and this life is his Son. Whoever has the Son has life ; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have Life.

Te Reo

In Room 6 we have been learning how to say where an object is in a certain place. We then had to create a classroom using Google Drawing in a group. My buddies were Mikaela and Naiema. Then we had to use Screencasify our learning and post it.

What I enjoyed doing was creating the classroom.

Show Not Tell

WALT : Show Not Tell. This Week Room 6 Has Been Practicing to Write Using Show Not Tell to Describe a Certain Feeling.
What I Enjoyed Doing Was Using This Type of Writing.
What I Found Hard Was Finding the Right Words to Describe This Feeling.
Next Time I Will Add More Sentences and Make Them Longer.

I Walk Up On Stage, Sweaty and Dizzy. The Room Went Quiet, All Eyes Glaring At Me. I Spoke Out Loud Into the Microphone. My Mouth Was Dry and My Vision Went Fuzzy. I Continue My Speech, Saying Each Word Carefully.

Persuasive Writing

Walt : Write a Persuasive Text.
In Room 6 We Wrote Why We Thought Cell Phones Should Or Should Not Be Banned From School.
What I Enjoyed Doing Was Writing Down My Ideas.
Next Time I Will Work Faster and Get It Done Quicker.

Cell Phones Should Not Be Banned From School.

Cell Phones Might Be a Distraction In Class But I Think They Should Not Be Banned From
School.

The First Reason I Think Phones Should Not Be Banned From School Is That If There Is An
Emergency Students Can Call Or Text Their Parents to Let Them Know What’s Happened
and to Tell Them If They’re Safe Or Not. They Can Also Call 111 (Or Whatever Country
They Come From) For Help. Emergencies That Probably Need Phones Are : Fire, Floods,
Dangerous Earthquakes and Real School Lockdowns.

The Second Reason Is Because If You’re Walking Home You Can Tell Your Parents Why
You’reLate or If You’re Ok. Sometimes If You Have Your Phone and You Get Lost You Can
Either CallYour Parents or Use Google Maps. If None Of These Work Then Sometimes Your
Parents CanFind Your Location If You Have Your Phone.

The Third Reason Is Because There Are Apps In the Phone That Can Help You. For
Example : In Class You Can Use It As a Calculator (If the Teacher Says to Use It) and If
There’s a BlackOut You Can Use Your Phone As a Flashlight. Also It Can Tell You the Time,
What Day It Is By theCalendar, the Weather and It Has the Internet Where You Can Search
Up Anything to Help YouWith Class. (If the Teacher Says to.)

In Conclusion I Think Cell Phones Should Not Be Banned From School Because It Can Help
Anyone and Anywhere Whenever You Need It.

Ballad Poem

WALT : Create a Ballad Poem.
In Room 6 we have been learning about Ballad Poems and making our own. A Ballad Poem is when the First Sentence Rhymes with another Sentence and the Second Sentence Rhymes with another and so on. For Example : ABAABB - Ground, Side, Round, Sound, Wide, Tide.
What I enjoyed doing was making my Ballad Poem.
Next time I will stick the my Plan.

In Room 6 we have been learning about Transformation. We had to Teach the Viewers about Transformation.
What I enjoyed was making the Pictures for my D.L.O.
What I will do next time is improve on my work.

WALT : Create a Interactive Slide show.
In Room 6 we have been learning about Angles. We had to make an Angle D.L.O. that was Interactive while Teaching about Angles.
What I Enjoyed was making the Quiz for the Slide Show.
Next time I will work faster.

Recount Writing

WALT : Create a Recount of what happened in the Holidays.
In Room 6 We have been doing Recounts about our Holidays.
What I will do next time : I will put more Information and make it more exciting!
What I need to work on : Getting my work done faster.


The Gondola

On a bright sunny afternoon me and my Family went on a trip to the Gondola. We traveled by our van. We went there because we had nothing to do during the Holiday.

First we went upstairs to eat. We had chips, wedges, pie and ice-chocolate. After that we were so full!

Next we went downstairs and went onto a ride called The Time Tunnel. The Time Tunnel is a ride that Teaches people about the History of Canterbury. I felt like I was going back in time!

When the ride was over we looked around the Shop. There were so many options to choose from. Some were expensive and some were cheap, some were small and some were big! Then I chose something I wanted… a Time Cube! It was discounted from $20 to $10. I paid $3 and my Dad paid the other $7.

Finally it was time to go home. We were worn out. I felt happy and hoped we can come again next time.

Onomatopoeia Poem

Fireworks


W.A.L.T. Use Onomatopoeia in Poetry.
Today we learnt about Onomatopoeia words and we had to make a poem
about fireworks using them.
What I found hard was thinking of rhyming words.
What I found easy was choosing the Onomatopoeia words to put in my Poem.
I hope you enjoy my Poem.


Pop, Bang, Crackle, Pop, Bang, Crackle,
The colourful fireworks pop in the gloomy night sky.
Fizz, Wizz, Sizzle, Fizz, Wizz, Sizzle,
The rainbow firework sizzles and dies.
Zoom, Boom, Bang! Zoom, Boom, Bang,
The last BIG firework explodes in the sky.
