Divisibility Rules

In Room 6, Pluto have been learning about divisibility rules and if a number is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 15, 36, 45.
Our Teacher gave us a "cheat sheet" to help us.

10) If The number ends in a 0.

9) If The sum of the digits are divisible by 9.

8) If The last three digits should form a number divisible by 8.

7) If You double the last digit and subtract the sum from the rest of the number the total should divisible by 7.

6) If The number is divisible by 2 and 3.

5) If The last digit ends with a 5 or a 0.

4) If The last two digits are divisible by 4.

3) If The sum of the digits are divisible by 3.

2) If The last digit is an even number.

  1. Hi Alex,

Thanks for sharing the cheats for divisibility rules. Hopefully this is helpful. Next time maybe you could give us some examples and show us to work it out without the cheats. Keep up the great work.
